There are a couple of ways to get your hands on the latest KFC dish. Customers can order a Kentucky Fried Chicken and Donuts Basket Meal, which includes original fried chicken or Extra Cripsy Chicken Tenders, along with a donut (if one sweet treat isn’t enough, ask for a Big Basket Meal to get two donuts). The iconic Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Sandwich is also available, which features the restaurant’s Extra Crispy Chicken patty and two donuts as the buns. For those of you who can’t decide, order your go-to KFC meal and pair it with a warm, glazed donut for just a buck extra.
The Colonel isn’t stopping there, however. This weekend, locals of Los Angeles will get to experience The Colonel’s (Chicken &) Donut Shop, a pop-up shop that will be giving away and selling fried chicken and donuts in honor of the upcoming launch. Located at 615 North La Brea Avenue, customers can stop by between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you’re one of the first fifty people there, you’ll be an exclusive freebie called the Colonel’s Dozen (six chicken tenders and six donuts).
You may recognize the duo from last year. Back in the fall of 2019, the Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donut Sandwich was served at more than 40 KFC locations in Pennsylvania and Virginia to test its potential success. At first, people were skeptical of the chicken and donut pairing, concerned about the health risks it might pose. But if you ask us, once you get over the nutritional (or lack thereof) values, fried chicken and donuts are nothing but a match made in heaven.
